Like every year, so this year the Guardian published the list of the 100 best footballers. Bayern's Robert Lewandowski was voted the best for 2020, who of course a few days ago had won the relevant FIFA award.
The Pole won the most favorites, ahead of second Lionel Messi (Barcelona) and third Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus). He even did it with characteristic comfort with 83% of the participants having him as their first choice.
The top ten completed by Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City), Santio Mane (Liverpool), Erling Halland (Dortmund), Killian Ebape (Paris), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Neymar (Paris) and Viel (Paris).
In the vote 241 journalists from 71 countries are participating - each choosing their own top 40 from the list.
The middle of Olympiacos, Mathieu Valbouena, was among the players voted with three votes, without being able to enter the top100.
Greater presence in the list (most players) has Liverpool. From one player the Reds had in 2015, when Klopp took over, they now have 12.
Regarding nationalities Germany is at the top for the first time. Detailed list of the top 100:
